Ep.12/ Embracing the Cycle of Renewal
There is beauty in the cycle of death and decay, for out of decay can spring new life.

4/5/24, Day 19, Autumn Cross-Over
Samhain (pronounced Sow-Winn) is the time where we are reminded to give thanks for the things that were and may no longer be.
In the graceful dance of life's cycle, we find beauty in the embrace of death and decay. For within decay lies the nourishment that sustains life's vibrant tapestry.
As we honor Samhain in the Southern Hemisphere, we pause to express gratitude for what once was and may no longer be.
Samhain marks the culmination of the harvest season before the onset of winter. It's a sacred moment on the Wheel of the Year, inviting us to attune to the natural rhythms of transition.
In this season of reflection, we ponder the gifts of summers past now waning in their fullness. It's a time to gather our gratitude for the final bounty and prepare for the introspective winter ahead.
As we celebrate, we engage in rituals of reciprocity with the Earth. On my altar, offerings abound: a python's shed skin, fallen camellia petals, ripe kiwi fruit, remnants of a midsummer wreath, a fallen cockatoo feather, and a wreath woven from palm fronds.
In the gentle decay of these offerings, I recognize parallels in my own life's journey.
Tender moments of release, fading relationships, and shifting seasons echo the cyclical nature of existence.
Yet, amid the bittersweet embrace of letting go, I find solace in the promise of renewal.
May you too find peace as you journey into the winter of introspection. May its quiet embrace nourish your spirit, offering rest and the promise of new beginnings. Blessings on your path. 🌿🌙
CYCLE WISDOM TIP
Our inner winter is a precious time of release and renewal.
What can you do to slow down and reflect on things that are passing away? Can you be with the things that are no longer? What would it mean to be with the setting sun before darkness sets in?
It is in the darkness of night that the stars come out. We see with new eyes if we allow ourselves to let the darkness set in and hold us tenderly.
Darkness is not fearsome it’s the place where the celestial stars shine bright. It is simply a different perspective.
